Where are they now?

An A-Z of species names that have been linked to the genus Phalangium (Opiliones) since 1758

The following table endeavours to list all the species names that have been combined with the genus name Phalangium. In cases where the name is linked to a currently valid species of Opiliones, that name, together with its family, are provided. When further details appear in either the 'valid names' or 'invalid names' pages on this site, a link is provided in the notes column. A note of who first used the 'Phalangium' version of the name is also given, together with significant taxonomic changes. '#' indicates the UNICOS opiliones project number.
The index can be used to jump directly to the initial letter of the specific name. A link is also provided back to the index from the start of each letter grouping.

Exercises like this are notoriously difficult to complete. Descriptions of rarely mentioned species in obscure publications are easily missed. This is therefore a work in progress and additions will be made to this list as we become aware of them.
The name Phalangium has also been used as a plant genus; combinations that refer to plants are not included in this listing.
